Multidisciplinary Program

• Motorsports Concentration in Mechanical Engineering (established 1998)
• Faculty and students from 7 departments across campus (Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Kinesiology, Business, and Graphical Communications)
• 160+ Students participate on teams, with 40 + in the ME concentration
• Student led technology teams emphasizing hands-on experience, freshman through graduate years.

• Responsibilities include scheduling, training, budgeting, marketing, maintaining and upgrading labs, etc.

• Teams include

• Project Teams (Legends Team, Mini-Baja, Formula SAE, Drag Car, etc.)
• Instrumentation Teams (Engine Dyno, Chassis Dyno, Shock Dyno, Flow Bench, Data Acquisition, etc.)
• Service Teams (Machining Group, Welding Group, Sheet Metal Group, etc.)
